Have been a sprint customer for 15+ years until recently. They just got too expensive...but that is not the scam. The scam is the not-so-free-freebie. Read on so you don't get hooked!!

Upgraded my wife's phone a little over a year ago and the associate told me "you get a free tablet with that". Free? I asked. No additional fees or hidden charges? Not a penny he says.

Fast forward to two months ago when we changed over to Metro PCS...a great deal btw. Called sprint hotline to transfer the number and CANCEL THE ACCOUNT (remember those three words). "Sorry to see you go, etc..etc.. No mention whatsoever of the tablet.

Here we are two months later and I am still getting a bill. After several lengthy and frustrating conversations I am told there is a cancellation charge for the tablet along with the monthly (non-usage) bills I have yet to pay.

You know what the true irony is here? Sprint just bought T-Mobil, who owns Metro PCS. Guess I am going to Walmart for one of their phones.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.
