Sprint - Appreciate your assistance

Thank you very much for your assistance in getting someone from Sprint to contact me. Issue: I was charged lease fee on phone that I completed payments on. I called Sprint via *2 on my phone. After being on hold for 45 minutes I was transferred to a supervisor. When I would not accept the supervisor's $50 offer, she disconnected the call and did not call back, despite the fact that I had provided a callback number. I have been a Sprint customer for over 20 years. Resolution: A Sprint Customer Service representative called and we were able to reach a mutually agreeable resolution. Although I did not receive the credit I had expected. she made some reasonable points and a fair compromise was achieved.

User's recommendation: Review your bills in detail for overcharges.

I did not move to a new carrier. I have always loved sprint.

I've been with them for over 10 years and this is the first time they let me down. After the anger boils off, reason resurfaces.

I will never lease a phone from them again. I'll look for used refurbished...

SPRINT IS A CON

1.3
Details
Signing with Sprint was a HUGE mistake on my part. Whenever there is a contract involved in order to get cell phone service (for the average consumer) you WILL lose. From the outset there was a lack of transparency and verbal manipulation in signing with Sprint. The promotional program I signed up for was only limited and then the rate doubled. The 3 "free" phones were NOT free as it turned out to be maditory that I pay for the service of those 3 phones whether I wanted to use them or not, and if I did not want to use the phones, I still had to pay for the service. And the hotspot service was the WORST I ever used. And while customer service was reachable, many times I would have to do follow-up calls for the same issue until the matter got resolved. To sum up: any individual would be a fool to sign with Sprint, a company that could give a rats butt about the individual.... its all about the dollar to them.

The same thing happened to me, they told me that I could open up additional lines for $10 dollars each & then they charged 60$ each per month on my bill, then they wouldn't not close the account, I only had these phones for on month then I refused to pay & now two years later they are telling me that I owe them 1600 dollars. For a service that I neve used

Sprint - Will not return a defective I phone-10 I leased for $1000

Details
Update by user Nov 19, 2018

My I Phone 10 is having speaker issues and dropping calls.

Update by user Nov 19, 2018

I bought/leased a new I Phone from Sprint because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of going to the Apple store. When you lease a brand new phone from any company you expect it to work properly.

Having to make an appointment, stand in line at the Apple store to have a new phone repaired is ridiculous. Sprint leased me the phone.

They need to return it and send it back to Apple themselves. It's the reverse of customer service.

Leased a brand new I phone 10 from Sprint in Austin. It is defective and they would not return it after 3 weeks. Instead the Sprint store and Sprint customer service told me I need take their defective I phone to the Apple store and have it repaired. I'm now locked into a 2 year contract leasing a defective phone. In order to get out of the contract and dump the defective phone that Sprint leased to me they will charge me $700. The phone is so bad the Sprint customer service asked if they could call me back on my home phone. I've been to 3 Sprint stores and NUMEROUS calls to Sprint. None of the customer service people have the power to help. One of the store managers told me there is not a key or function on her computer that will allow her to exchange my phone. It seems the folks working for Sprint are impotent to actually help.

Apple makes and provides warranty service for their phones. Contact Apple and they can advise you.

Sprint won't touch the phone. Hopefully, you can get it repaired via Apple soon as, "oh, the horror of it all" you will be without a cell phone! How will you cope or continue to exist? The world wonders.

I still have a landline that you crank the handle to get an operator who then patches you through to the person you want. It works for me.

We have used sprint for several years ( I don’t know why ). I bought a phone out right from them in January and in May they a suddenly started charging me for a lease. Mind you the phone has been paid fir in full through them. They provided me with a lease agreement with my name typed on it as their proof I had to continue to lease, return the phone or pay $250 to them to keep the phone. They can send their bill to collections because I’m switching phone companies and not sending them another dime. Angry

I was told 24 months ago that when my 24 months was up I would own the phone and my bill would go down and I could keep the insurance. My 24 months is up the end of this month. I called Sprint customer service only to get someone in the Philippines only to learn you can't understand a word they say. I finally got the address to a local store only to be told that after my 24 months is up and to own my phone I would have to pay $160.00. I was never told this in the beginning. I became livid because I was lied to. Now I am going to spread the news through any social media I can to tell of the criminal theft Sprint does. I wanted to like Sprint but all of you are crooked thieves. I think all phone companies are the crooks. I hope you go out of business. The CEO is a lying thief and I hope all of you GO TO ***! One persons voice CAN make a difference and I am just getting started!

I switched to Sprint from T-Mobile almost two years ago. Big mistake!!! Horrible service, dropped calls, texts not coming in, calls never received. Horrible customer service, ALWAYS overseas. I switched to ATT im October. Called Sprint 3 times and went online to get final amount owed on 3 phones lease. I was told $395.00 everytime. ATT has offer to pay off balance, no down payment, and free HBO for life, (I have DTV). I never got final bill, one day got an e-mail for $802.00!! I called again, 5th time, escalated to overseas manager, got confirmation number, she promised to send a bill. NEVER GOT IT!! CALLED AGAIN, NOTHING, CALLED AGAIN, GOT BILL , the trick is does not say final or itemize charges. I am filing a compliant with the BBB, of which Sprint is not approved by, the FCC, and sharing with a local news station investigative reporter to go on tv. I have never been through anything like this!! I saw a news article calling Sprint the worst wireless provider!! They are, they lie, cheat, mislead and steal!! I am honest, and would never lie or cheat anyone. My son is epileptic, and we need service that works for emergencies, as well as his 3 children, he is a single parent. DO NOT GET SPRINT, I AM NOT THROUGH WITH THEM YET!! REBECCA JOHNSON

Trust me, youre not the only one they have taken advantage of! I have 2 leased phones, that should have been paid off by now, but im still being charged the monthly "lease".

I thought i signed up to finance a phone, not rent one! My bills supposed to be 130$ a month, but im constantly being charged 200$ a month, and i can never get a clear reason why...

its always something different! I honestly feel like talking to a lawyer!

I just learned that Sprint scammed me on my two lines with a "Lease" agreement, where I pay between $25 and $30 per line for the phone every month, but at the end of the "2 year agreement", I will not own the phone. So, in effect, I have a 2 year agreement, paid $1320...
