Sprint - Service and billing

1.0
Details
I have been with Sprint 8 years. Never late on a single bill. I upgraded and added a line for the new Samsung Galaxy S10s. I called multiple times about the LTE connection issues for both phones. I was told the upgrade would solve the problems. As it is well known, the upgrades have not solved the problem. I returned one S10 plus, received a new one which also did not work, which I still have. Filed a claim for the Galaxy S8 i upgraded from. I mailed Asurion my Gal S8 to be repaired so I could return it to Sprint. Asurion sends back a Galaxy S10 plus which I immediately notify Sprint of and return this S10 that was MISTAKENLY mailed to me. In the mean time, I was charged $400 for the S8 i attempted to get repaired to return to Sprint but since I was mailed back the wrong phone from Asurion, it delayed the return. Those charges were removed. I check my bill today to see I was charged a lease cancellation charge of $718 for a Galaxy S10 when I never cancelled anything. I still have the phone and it is still activated. Although I have already happily opened a line through Verizon, I have the Sprint phone active due to the other lines on my account. These are fraudulent charges from Sprint. Now another phone call to Sprint, an hour out of my day to get yet another issue solved.

We have had Sprint for over 15 years, however, since we upgraded our phones to Galaxy 8 Plus, which they said and continue to say in the best phone ever, our cell phone service has plummeted. We get dropped calls, no internet connection, awful audio. I live less than...

Sprint - Worst service in 25 years..leaving!

BBB Complaint Peter R Crane 575 W Palm Aire Dr, pompano Beach, FL 33069 I.D. 12213170 6/17/17 NO RESOLUTION I have been with Sprint for over 25 years, since owning a cell phone. The service has always been poor, requiring numerous hours on the phone to resolve minor issues. Reps continually contradict each other regarding promotions and benefits. The past five years the service has dropped from poor to horrible poor. I have just completed a 24 month lease on two of my three lines (2 galaxy 6's) and have been trying for the past 2 months to see what Sprint promotions are in store for a long time customer on upgrading to the gs8 and gs8+. After numerous phone calls to mostly non-speaking reps out of the US, I contacting rep Osha Marie in the Oregon retention/cancelation office on 6/3/17, interaction # I1216125189 who was able to stall my cancelation from Sprint with the following offer due to my long standing account with Sprint. 1. Upgrade one line to the gs8+ at $19 and change per month 2. My unlimited freedom plan on 3 phones would reduce from $115 to $100 per mth, an immediate $100 credit and a $200 credit in 2 months. No shipping or activation fee. 3. In one month on July 4th rep Osha Marie was to call me to execute the same promotion on my wife's gs6. When we concluded our transaction, Osha Marie transferred me to the shipping dept to arrange shipping of the order. I was transferred to Elaina, interaction #QQSKD3Z, in Tampa Florida, who said she was in the English Dept and verified my address, etc. As we were ending the shipping process I asked to verify the terms arranged by Osha Marie in Oregon retention. To my surprise the monthly charge for the GS8+ that she was about to ship was $35 and change, not $19. and change. She said I was given incorrect information. I immediately cancelled the order and shipment and asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor agreed to escalate my complaint and review the tape with Osha Marie in Oregon on June 3 and that she would call me with results on Friday, June 9, 2017. To this date I have received no further communication from Sprint . RESOLUTION OF COMPLAINT Grant me the agreement of 6/3/17 with Osha Marie of Oregon retention as confirmed by her supervisor. Peter R Crane 954-263-2799 cranethree@aol.com FOLLOW-UP OF COMPLAINT 6/19/17 Today, Monday 6/19/17, as a response to the above complaint to the BBB, I received a call from Taheera L., Sprint Executive Resolution. . 855-848-3280 ext 8194. She was very vague as to my complaint and had to be educated as to the specifics and never reviewed the taped call to retention on 6/3/17 and the original agreement of transaction I-1216125189 Taheeras involvement was a complete waste of time and offered no resolution to my complaint except to repeat that I was not entitled to the offer of 6/3/17 from retention. (Intervention I-1216125187.) The offer can be verified by reviewing the tape with Oregan Retention, Osha Marie and approved by her supervisor on 6/3/17. Apparently, in spite of escalation no one at Sprint will acknowledge or review the tape of the agreement. Disgraceful service, fraudulent action from Sprint employees, and a serious lack of administrative staff. I shall begin reviewing offers of other cell phone providers for the first time in 25 years with sprint. NO RESOLUTION!! 8/17/17 Subsequent to the above contact from Taheera, Sprint corporate, Taheera called back to inform me that she located the 6/3/17 tape with Osha Marie, that it was a short call and that it DID NOT confirm my agreement with Osha Marie (the call was close to an hour), but can make arrangements for me to lease the GS8+ at the original agreement on 6/3/17 with Osha Marie of Oregon retention, but that I may continue to see a $35 lease charge for several months, but to call her for the adjustment to $19.00. As of now my lease states $35.42 per month for 18 months, and I continually have to contact Corporate for a monthly adjustment. Spriint service is impossible, and one cannot get someone in the states, while representatives continue to contradict one another. After 25 years with Sprint, will be canceling soon!! Going through mechanical nightmare. System update ruined my galaxy note 4. Now I'm without a phone needless visits to the sprint store which is out of my way. Went through the Asurion claim process to find out I would have to pay a 200.00 deductable to get my phone replaced. But due to the fact that its a mechanical malfunction I have to take it to let a tech look at it for 25.00 if they can fix it which I was told the problem will continue with no warning. And to get a different phone it will cost me in excess of 400.00 contract is up in two months. Their putting me right back where I was. This is not my fault the system update ruined my perfectly good Note 4.

Sprint - 3 hours on phone for NOTHING!

I called Sprint to upgrade 2 lines (one of which had a small balance remaining to pay before upgrade) and add a line. Ultimate goal--take advantage of the BOGO Galaxy S7 offer for the two current lines and add an iPhone SE as extra line. It's a Saturday, long initial hold, no problem. Rep says I'll need to pay off the one line with a balance before moving forward...no problem. Transferred me to sales on a 3-way call. After paying (confirmed via associate and text from my bank), the sales associate is no longer on the line and the payment associate explains that I have to get back into line for a new sales associate. New sales associate is on excellent and understands my goal, but explains that's for the BOGO offer, the new line needs to be the free S7. No problem, I agree to upgrade one current line to the paid S7, add a line with the free S7, upgrade the other current line to the iPhone SE...then switch the numbers around later. Agent confirmed this would be no problem and no fee. Then a problem, one line is still showing balance (i.e. system hadn't updated my payment). We decide to go forward with the BOGO upgrade and line add while we wait for system update. All is well until time to pay--agent says I can't use the same card because only one transaction is allowed per day. This is strange and untrue. So I get transferred to another department that (1) cannot accept payments, (2) cannot add a line, (3) confirms my payment, but says the system hasn't updated, (4) suggests I go to a Sprint store (as if they'd have more up-to-date info than phone customer service). I decline, since I'd spent 2.5 hours on the phone by this time. I remain courteous and understanding, but request to speak to someone who can complete my transaction. Back into the long line for a sales associate--during which I'm writing this review. Total call time thus far, 3 hours and 10 minutes...on a Saturday and still nothing. If this is not resolved today, this experience will be videoed, screenshot, and circulated on all social media. I'm a 5+ year Sprint subscriber...but this is a little taxing. Michael
